Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. The app creates a guest session the first time you open it, so you can start straight away. Signing in is optional. It keeps your lesson history and recordings across devices.
Why does the app ask for the microphone and speech recognition?
Only the recording and roleplay exercises use them: your voice is recorded so the app can score your pronunciation, and recognised so the roleplay can hear your lines. Nothing is recorded in the background, and the rest of the app works if you decline.
A lesson is taking a while to appear
Every dialogue and story is generated fresh rather than picked from a library, so the first few seconds are normal. If it never finishes, check your connection. The app needs internet for lessons, audio and pronunciation analysis.
I can’t hear anything
Check the silent switch and the volume, and make sure no other app is holding the audio output. If you are on Bluetooth, try switching back to the speaker.
Can I use my own text?
Yes. Choose Paste Dialogue or Paste Sentences and drop in any script or list of phrases. It becomes a full lesson with audio, dictation and roleplay.
How do I delete my account and my data?
In the app: Info → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, lesson history and recordings from our servers. You can also write to us and we will do it for you.
